I join the Chassis engineering department in 2001 to take over the role of manager of the team in charge of Cab Suspension and tilting, together with the dedicated project cross-functional team. In 2004, my scope is extended with the Engine Suspension.
My role consists in managing the budget and workload to deliver the projects, ensuring the consistency of the development plan with the involvement of purchasing, vehicle testing and project management functions.
Indeed, I supervise the conception and specification phases, the verification plan both internally and at suppliers, and the overall validation plan up to the commercial launch and first customer feedback.
I also introduce the multibody dynamics simulations, applied to the cab suspension and tilting system, as a new tool fully integrated in the development process.
From 2002 to 2006, the full range of Renault Trucks is launched with new solutiosn for engine and cab suspension, providing a better ride experience of the driver and an enhanced durability.
Following the acquisition of the Renault VI/Mack group by Volvo group, the period is also the beginning of collaborative and multicultural exchanges with Swedish colleagues.
