Admitted at INSA Lyon in 1986, a famous French “Grande Ecole” in Engineering, I get graduated as MSc in Mechanical Engineering in 1991.
During an internship of 6 months, I work with the development of a forging simulation software, in cooperation with the companies Airforge in Pamiers – Ariège and CEA (Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique) in Valduc – Burgundy, and the Solid Mechanics Lab of INSA Lyon.
In 1990, during my last semester, I develop and implement a model of structural damages occurring during the forging process.
One year later, I perform my National Service as civilian scientific at CEA in Valduc, where I pursue the development of the simulation software with the implementation of an adaptive meshing feature.
During this period, I take also the opportunity to teach Mechanical Sciences (BSc level) at the CNAM of Dijon – Burgundy.
